We are one beautiful organization from Łódź (Poland). Our goal is to offer support for the most vulnerable people in our society, people with disabilities. In our centre we work through art-therapy, music-therapy, occupational therapy, informatics workshop, physiotherapy and basic skills of daily living workshop. All our work is to improve our members’ ability to complete basic daily tasks, as well as working on social skills, and above all, promoting social inclusion.
This year we are finishing one very nice EVS project with two volunteers (one Ukrainian, and one Spanish), with the objective to promote social inclusion through art. Now, we want to make other project very different and super nice for continue our objective, and teach different things to our participants.
We want create one project for make more visible the diary live of people with disabilities in Poland, show people about their skills, abilities and daily improvement. In the end, promote her social inclusion though technology of the information and communication.
We are looking for two EVS volunteers, who loves people and with a lot of motivation for work with people with mental and physical disabilities. The only requirement is that you must be between 18 and 30 years!
Your future tasks:
Know our association, our participants, our workshops, and support some therapist with their classes.
Prepare some workshop about different topics (culture, multimedia, art, traditions…)
One of the volunteer would be responsible for preparing photographs and film materials about our life in the centre.
Other volunteer would be responsible for the social media and puting all multimedia materials in there.
*This tasks can be share between volunteers if they want.
In the middle of the project, we will choose (of course, volunteers too) the single story of one participant from our centre, and volunteers would tell this story preparing multimedia materials needed to describe it and tell about it to the end. This story can be told through blog, YouTube channel, documentary, magazine, book….volunteers choose her own way to work!
